Add another mailbox to your Outlook 2010 profile

Adding another persons mailbox to your Outlook 2010 profile.

If you have the Full Access permissions on another mailbox it can be added to your Microsoft Outlook profile. In Exchange 2010 Service Pack 1 and above Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 will automatically map to any mailbox to which a user has Full Access permissions. For versions of Exchange prior to 2010 SP1 the mailbox has to be added to the Outlook profile manually.

Here are the steps to add an additional mailbox in Outlook 2010:

  1. On the File menu, click Account Settings>Account Settings
  2. Select the Microsoft Exchange account and then click Change
  3. Click More Settings
  4. Select the Advanced tab
  5. Click the Add button
  6. Enter the mailbox name of the person whose mailbox you want to add to your Outlook profile.
  7. Click OK
